Alexandre Manuel is Doctorate in Visual Semiotics. Alexandre Manuel decided to dedicate his life to photography. He began to portray the urban landscapes of Sao Paulo, discovering the hidden wonders in each corner. He has exhibited in France and Portugal, Alexandre divides his work into two sections. The first one consists of colourful landscapes, which represent the beauty of the Portuguese coasts and the countries from which it passes. The second, called "invisible landscapes", opens the way to the black and white world that Alexander prefers to give a generous space so that the clarity and softness of his eyes are what he considers: the essence of the landscape. In refined style, Alexandre's works question the state and limits of the landscape. With a wide exposure technique, natural records highlight the tension between absence and presence, between man and place in nature, between the natural evolution of the landscape and the permanence in some life. Perspectives, prolonged exposures and adequate weather conditions create pure, serene and peaceful living spaces where the mood needs the imagination to float on the horizon. Obsessed with temporality, Alexandre tries to love what by nature is fleeting: the timeline.
