Art Madrid'24 – Andrés Planas

Andrés Planas

Palma, 1957

Andrés Planas' work moves in different projects, always with the common denominator of aesthetics, but not necessarily beautiful. He moves from the extremely sordid to the most refined and delicate, always in search of a balance that makes his works unclassifiable rarities. On this occasion he presents Monochromes. A collection of paintings in which colour is the only protagonist. At times, it gives way to certain textures which, worked in layers of colour, reach their highest point of vibration. The work culminates in the presentation of each work with its complementary or opposite pair, thus reaching its maximum expression with the minimum technical effort. Pure beauty.
