Visitor Information

The 15th edition of Art Madrid will take place from February 26th to March 1st, 2020 in the Galería de Cristal of the Palacio de Cibeles, an unmissable appointment with contemporary art that every year has a more significant international presence and attracts a greater number of visitors. To celebrate its 15th anniversary, Art Madrid has organised a very special edition in which everyone can enjoy the contemporary art of the moment in an event full of novelties.

Throughout its career, Art Madrid has been a showcase for numerous galleries and artists of all disciplines (painting, sculpture, graphic work, photography, video art, artistic installations...). The fair defines as a proposal close to the public and the reality of the art world, aware of the future challenges and the positive impact of initiatives like this one. This year will bring together about 50 national and international galleries that will provide a fresh and current vision of the world art scene.

In addition to the general program, the fair hosts the One Project program, a curated section dedicated to unpublished and specific projects for the space of the fair. This year, the program has been entrusted to the curator Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta. On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, Art Madrid wanted to redefine this program and take it a step further, transforming it into a space of dialogue (but also of conflict) between ten artists who will share space, two by two, face to face, under the subjugating and enigmatic title of "Savages".

Besides, as usual, the fair organises a program of activities, this time dedicated to New Media, which will be curated by Mario Gutiérrez Cru, director of the video art festival PROYECTOR. With a program open to the public where workshops, screenings, debates, round tables, meetings with artists or masterclasses will take place, Art Madrid wants to link up with a growing discipline in the contemporary world and involve the public in new creative trends.

National and international art galleries dedicated to Contemporary Art and Emerging Art. The One Project is a curated program that shows unpublished, multi-disciplinary projects created especially for the fair and its space.
