Luca Cartoonist (1986), is an emerging artist who develops his practices in the world of pop art. A fan of comics since he was a child, he graduated in advertising graphics at the Art Institute of Ascoli Piceno and then concluded his artistic studies with a degree in comics and illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. Drawing and painting have been part of his life despite having a different career path (although always artistic), until 2020, when, during the pandemic, he decides to enter fully into the world of pop art. He mainly depicts characters from the world of cartoons and comics, adapting them and placing them in current situations, often using pop icons of yesterday and today. He uses mainly acrylic paints, aerosols and mixed techniques of printmaking and collage on canvas. He collaborates since 2021 with several Italian art galleries and participates with his works in events such as ArtParmafair, BAF Bergamo Art Fair and some group exhibitions (MilanoFashion & Art, Espressioni d'artista...).
