Maria Angélica Viso is a Venezuelan sculptor who has conducted theoretical and practical studies under the direction of the artist Ofelia de León between 1978 and 1993 while studying Bussiness Administration at the Metropolitan University. Also, she has taken different courses in sculpture with the architect Ralph Anthony Brewer and Gustavo González Lesghi. In 2017, she is graduated in Venezuelan Visual Arts and the History of Western Art at the Metropolitan University. She has participated in many collective exhibitions between 2013 and 2019, in Caracas, Miami, Toronto, Ottawa, Paris, and recently in Valencia, Madrid and Lima. Viso has won the First Prize Club Playa Azul, Naiguatá, 1982; Third Prize Maraven Art Salon, Caracas, 1983; Arts Advocacy Award granted by TheWIFTS, Los Angeles, California, United United in 2015.
