Nicolás de Maya is a multidisciplinary plastic artist, as he defines himself, interested in art from a very young age. His beginnings are linked to pictorial creation, from which he has not dissociated himself throughout his career, and which stars in a large part of his production together with other disciplines such as sculpture. In order to carry out his work, marked by a constant search, it is essential to have a previous discourse, without abandoning figuration -arriving at realism and hyperrealism- but endowing his works with a certain conceptualism; a concept or idea that can appear in an obvious way, through the form itself, or related to the background of the work.
