Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and trained at the Florence Academy of Art and the Barcelona Academy of Art, Pau Marinel.lo shows in his works a mixture of his favourite media, charcoal and oil. With them, he extracts the natural version of the human figure. “When I look back and see the works I did in the past, I feel like I'm reading my own diary. I am inspired by what I have around me: friends, family, and objects, Painting is a very personal language, by doing it you are expressing yourself. It's hard to describe my real process because it doesn't exist, I'm in a moment where I feel like an explorer. I explore figuration trying to deconstruct aspects of drawing. I build and destroy until I get a result that satisfies me. I am interested in the abstraction of painting and also in its figurative part.
