I am attracted to find some order within the chaos and also to distort to, in a gesture, recede haphazardly what had tended to become too organized. With this game a sensation of movement and stillness, of noise and silence, of presence and absence is born in me. At this point there is a tension, and this is where painting comes in, the language to capture this tension, through color and matter.
