Pedro Fano Muñiz (Oviedo, 1977). Visual artist and illustrator. But if asked, he would probably answer that he is a painter. The art critic Ángel Antonio Rodríguez has written about his artworks: "His work is committed to interpretative efficiency, compositions of slow execution that point out his horizons. The energy of reality, or the power of fantasy, analysed from multiple points of view''. His facet as a plastic artist has been developing since 1997 and has led him to exhibit continuously, having received prizes and distinctions in various exhibitions and competitions. Among the latter, the following stand out: the Young Revelation Artist Award of the Principality of Asturias, the Valencia Crea National Comic Award, the Martínez Pedrayes National Drawing Award, the AINorte Scholarship, the Dasto Award and the Acquisition Award from the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias at the Biennial of La Carbonera. He has had solo exhibitions in Oviedo and Barcelona, both in public and private institutions.
