When artistic expression is in times of tribulation, where occurrences replace ideas, meeting an artist who explores and proposes a work and a spatial and systematized investigation in the true universe of sculpture, is more than a gift, it is the affirmation so often demanded that only from the ideas that explore the world of the sculptural, authentic creative talents appear and generate the necessary process to build a personal universe that is in turn capable of translating and responding to that of the rest of his contemporaries. This is undoubtedly the case of the work of Raquel Fernández and her universe. Her explorations on the light and the material, rhythm and balance, emptiness and fullness, abstraction, the unique and the serial, mobility, scale, composition, plasticity as a conceptual language .

That is, the tools of every good sculptor make his work and work an example of a powerful creative intuition. The dialogues that the work of this artist establishes with all the scales in which she intervenes are fascinating, either in her explorations in the world of architecture or in the calm and intimate silence of her small formats. I dare to bet on the world of ideas that Raquel has still fermenting within her personal and at the same time universal territory of sculpture. (Cesar Ruiz-Larrea).
