Roberto Gato

Madrid, 1964

His artistic activity is developed in the visual field as well as in signature, scientific and technical photography. These works overlap with other arts such as painting, sculpture and ceramics. He is self-taught and his eclectic works range from the deepening of anthropological and tribal themes, to samples of the culture that surrounds him in different perspectives. He also works for decoration and exhibitions and studies in official schools. He has worked as a curator for artists. In recent years, robertogatoen's work has focused on collaborations with writers, visual artists and scholars of Japanese culture, as well as visual photography of dervish arts and dances. This artist promotes the immersion of Western groups in Japanese culture, focusing mainly on Noh theatre, by means of entities and foundations in both countries. He has a permanent exhibition at the Aire Gallery since 2019 and spaces such as Art Marbella, the Estampa Fair and the Flecha International Fair, have hosted the works of this artist from Madrid.
