Roberto Reula

Roberto Reula

Madrid, 1970

The greatness of the small. I have always been struck by his ability to condense all human qualities into small sculptures of ordinary men, with their faults and virtues. Isolated characters in spite of the crowds, who connect with the world through their inaction, in scenes with a certain irony and retranca. Sculptures of people who apparently do nothing, just look and think, which is no small thing.
