Rui Tavares

Figueira da Foz (Portugal), 1974

Rui Tavares has a degree in Fine Arts - Painting - from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, and has been teaching at the NextArt Art Training Center in Lisbon since 2010. He has exhibited individually since 2003 and his work is represented in various collections. The painting by Rui Tavares stands out for the use of a convulsive abstract language, opposed to the ordered and harmonic plastic form, composed of elements derived from planes, walls or fragments.
