about the artist's works

Michael Banks performs a work whose fundamental protagonists are the forms, composition, colour and movement that he achieves through magical effects that surround all his art. From the purest abstraction and without the need to be connected with objective reality, his photographs reflect and externalize a state of introspection; compositions that dialogue with the surrounding space and offer new perceptual possibilities to establish harmonious relations that transfer the viewer to other realities. Sometimes he manipulates his photographs, other times his images are what results from firing his machine in a certain way but the result is always, sublime pieces full of character.
