Brigitta Both studied Fashion Design. In 2007 he moved to Oxford where she began to express herself through painting, collage, photography and video art. The starting point of her works is a personal experience, which explains why her works seem so personal to the viewer, perhaps sometimes even unusually intimate.

Brigitta moved to Barcelona in 2015. After presenting her work for the first time to curators, she had his first exhibitions and in 2017 she won the 15th BBVA Ricard Camí Painting Prize. Fascinated by black and white photography, she paints in a minimalist and monochromatic style as a simple but powerful way to express the beauty of the infinite nuances of human emotions. Her works are deep pieces with a powerful psychological component that fuses figurative and abstract worlds. Her themes are about our daily mental struggles, our desperate need for harmony, beauty, security and love in a world where they are not easy to find. However, her works try to show that beauty is everywhere and the ability to recognize it can help us overcome difficulties.
