Carlos Albert is a spanish sculptor graduated in Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. He was, with another emerging artist, the founder of Group 99, whose manifest exalted traditional art values. There is a huge difference between sculpture and painting. Sculpture fights with space around and tries to find its place on it. Carlos Albert considers that sculpture and drawing share characteristics. He makes his pieces to be three-dimensional drawings using iron. Shapes in the emptiness seem to be alive. His professional career is included in abstract art.
