about Juan Díaz

El Real de San Vicente (Toledo), 1953

Juan Díaz has developed his extensive artistic career since 1972 when he held his first solo exhibition; he has participated in national and international art fairs such as ARCO; ARTEBA, FIA, ArteSantander or ARTEBO. Díaz has won numerous awards, including National Watercolor Prize 1990 CAM, Madrid; 1st Medal at the LX Autumn Salon, Madrid; Special Mention in the V Plasencia Autumn Salon; 1st Prize for Painting "Army Awards 1996", Madrid; Acquisition Award at the 1st Wellington Foundation Contest, Madrid. 1st, 2nd and Special Rafael Requena Prize in the International Competition "Villa de Caudete". His works appear in different Museums, Private Collections and Institutions in Europe and America. And in 1993 he was named “Cerdán de Oro” in recognition of his artistic career in Talavera de la Reina.
