Art Madrid'26 – Enrique A. Cabrera

I consider myself, above all, a constant observer, a reconstructor of phenomena framed by their context. Ideas, for me, are the result of lived experience with the physical and material substance of things. It is a marked approach in which drawing becomes the means to get closer to the surface of a place and to the elements that inhabit it.
Just as the light enters through the windows of my apartment, I construct patterns that usually reveal the spirit of the place. Patterns of light and shadow are drawn on the surface, and their shapes change fleetingly. Light presents itself to us—fragments of it—in a partial act, the space revealed in new forms.
