Art Madrid'26 – Francesca Martí

Francesca Martí

Sóller, 1957

Francesca Martí (Sóller, Mallorca, 1957) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works between Mallorca, the Netherlands and Stockholm. Since the early 1990s, her work has gained international recognition, with exhibitions in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. She combines painting, sculpture, photography, video art, installation and performance. Although she initially explored elements such as fire and insects, the human figure is the constant center of her work—especially in her Dreamers and Believers, which she depicts as migrants in large cities or in neutral spaces where positive energy gives them life and movement.

She has exhibited in prominent institutions such as Casal Solleric and Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró (Palma), the National Gallery of Fine Arts of Jordan, the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome, Es Baluard (Palma), as well as museums in Bratislava, Stockholm and Shanghai, and international art fairs such as ARCO, Art Cologne, Kiaf Seoul and Art Dubai.
