Art Madrid'26 – Pedro Rodríguez Garrido

Pedro Rodríguez Garrido

Huelva, 1971

He is a visual artist specialized in painting, and a Fine Arts graduate from the University of Seville. He has exhibited in galleries and international art fairs across Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden, South Korea, and Russia, establishing a solid international career.

After a period focused on figuration and urban landscapes, his artwork is now oriented towards abstract expressionism. His stay in Seoul in 2022 marked a turning point, inspiring him to create a personal universe built on memories and sensations, with Eastern references expressed through symbols, calligraphy, and collaged elements in an abstract language.

His pictorial process is free, intuitive, and gestural, allowing painting to speak for itself without the need for a recognizable image. He employs a wide range of materials and techniques, including acrylic, oil, pencils, wax, oil pastel, spray paint, and resin, on diverse supports such as linen, paper, or wood.
