Quintana Martelo

Manuel Quintana studies Painting and Engraving at the Faculty of Fine Arts Sant Jordi of Barcelona, Mural Painting at the Center of Contemporary Mural of Sant Cugat del Vallés and Cinema at the Center of Cinematic Art of Barcelona. He obtained Scholarships for Fine Arts by the General Directorate of Student Promotion, Drawing in the Circle of Fine Arts, Painting in Granada, Mural Painting of the Diputación de Barcelona, the General Mediterranean Foundation, and the Castellblanch National Scholarship in London and Amsterdam

He was president of the Asociación Galega de Artistas Visuais, integrated into the Union of Associations of the Spanish State and in the EVAN (Union of Associations of the European Community). In 2004, he founded the Art Notes Magazine with his teammates, and that same year he was elected and appointed Academic of Number at the Royal Galician Academy of Fine Arts. In 2008, he joined the Galician Great Painters Collection, Quintana received the Galician Culture Prize in Plastic Arts, sponsored by the Xunta de Galicia and appointed the president of the Royal Galician Academy of Fine Arts. In 2016, Royal Galician Academy of Fine Arts organized with the Prado Museum and the Santiago Cathedral Foundation, a monographic exhibition for the Prado Museum..
