Paredes has made a number of individual and other collective exhibitions in different Spanish galleries and museums. Also, his work is a reason for analysis and praise in different publications of all kinds, in some cases expressly illustrated by the artist himself.

In addition to painting, the central axis of his creative activity, Paredes shows a special preference for the treatment of the volumes, in a wise use of a different language in front of the same universe that characterizes, as a few, his work, with which his Sculptural activity has reached a generally comparable, if not inseparable, evaluation of his pictorial works. His work, both in painting and sculpture, has a stable presence in museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias (Oviedo), the Jovellanos (Gijón), the Culture Foundation (Gijón) and in private collections.
