Art Madrid'24 – Efraïm Rodríguez

Efraïm Rodríguez

Valencia, 1971

Efraïm Rodríguez studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. Rodríguez explores the theme of childhood characters and in his works he gives prominence to wood. Created from cuts or assemblies of different types of wood (beech, cedar, walnut, oak ...), their works combine the strong presence of materials and a meticulous technique, which provides a wealth of textures and nuances.

Efraïm Rodríguez's sculptures convey innocence, delicacy and, although they are realistic, one can feel a surreal touch, as if the imagination of children were part of the process, especially evident in the elements that surround them, or from those that seem to emerge.
