EBONY AND IVORY
Since his beginnings in photography, Jorg Karg has developed his line around digital collage with a marked personal style in which the female figure occupies a prominent place. His compositions propose visual games and impossible portraits in which the superposition of images and floral elements introduce into the scene reminiscences of an evocative sensuality, of those which is guessed from the cleanliness of forms, the purity of colour and the creation of contours by contrast.
His work transpires a very marked colour purism, where the confrontation of tonalities gives place to surreal and implausible prints in which the female anatomy comes into play, sometimes as a structural element, in others as a depersonalised and anonymous motif.
The choice of the details incorporated into the image does not seem casual. The appearance of long-stemmed roses, crowns of black flowers, delicate transparent gauzes or bird feathers, among others, introduce into the story references to our imaginary fantasy, populated by the unreal beings of fairy tales, able to fly, fade and become invisible.
