Art Madrid'26 – Rinat Izhak

Since 1998 I have been researching more deeply the magic and mystery of nature—walking its path, feeling it, observing it, and listening to its rhythm. At first, I traveled to different places: Africa, India, Hungary, Latin America, Spain, Portugal, England, etc. In these countries, I contemplated once again the colors, smells, light, shapes—everything present in nature, from the macro to the micro—and I captured these details to create a “private archive” in my memory. This phase is the beginning of my artistic process.
In my studio, when choosing a subject to create a series or project, I channel the knowledge that we all receive from silence in order to transmit sensations, contemplate what I see, and translate it into images through color and form. When painting, depending on the theme, I use the materials and techniques it asks of me to express what I observe. The work of the pieces is very abstract, but from afar, the whole becomes figurative—just like nature itself.
