about Xavi Noble

Barcelona, 1984

My work is characterized by a blend of iconography driven by mass culture and the representation of multiple artistic styles, eras, and cultures through a collage of vibrant images and colors. I strive for balance between these elements, reinforcing it through the application of various artistic techniques and materials. Common in my work is the use of slogans and messages often wrapped in ambivalence or left open to interpretation by the viewer. Influenced by graffiti, contemporary art, typography, comics, and more, my work results in a distinctive pop collage style.

After 20 years of graffiti and muralism, where my work was primarily based on the use of typography and color, my studio pieces emerged from a need to counterbalance and amplify the message, evoke emotions, address themes like love, life, and death, and stir a reaction in the viewer.
