Irene Ortiz is a textile artist who works primarily with the hand loom from an intuitive and experimental approach. Her practice is based on the exploration of materials and the expressive possibilities of weaving, without following pre-established frameworks or conventional patterns. Each work is the result of an open and flexible process in which color, texture, and composition develop organically, responding both to the inherent qualities of the materials and to their transformation over time.
