about Leticia Feduchi

Madrid,

For Leticia Feduchi, drawing from statues is “the solfège of painting,” revealing her interest in realism approached through a contemporary sensibility. Working from color and its nuances, she constructs a universe of volumes and forms in which each brushstroke involves a decision and a risk. Her work does not simply depict the everyday; instead, it draws out the pictorial substance underlying reality. She is especially noted for her treatment of fabrics, ceramics, fruits, and flowers, where the relationships between elements guide the composition. Trained at the Eina School in Barcelona, the Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro in Florence, and various centers in Madrid, she studied with masters such as Antonio López and Ràfols Casamada. She has held around 50 exhibitions in cities including Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Vienna and Milan, and is currently featured in Beyond Realism at the Royal Palace in Madrid. Her work is included in major collections such as Fundació Vila Casas, Fundació Banc Sabadell and the National Library of Spain, and she has received numerous distinctions.
