about Marina Puche

Valencia, 1982

Marina Puche, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Carlos (Valencia), has been developing, since her beginnings as an artist/creator, a multidisciplinary work, in which she stands out as a visual artist. In this, she is in charge of capturing in a simple way, the small details that characterise people, by means of gestures and looking for the beauty in the look of things. Thus, her works developed through figuration are influenced by the circus, retain small touches of the art of pachwork and are clearly influenced by the art of Fallas. The young Valencian artist has received numerous grants such as the Leonardo Scholarship from the Porcelain Workshop (Saale, Germany); the DKV ART grant, University of Gdansk (Poland); the Rodríguez Acosta Foundation painting grant (Granada) and the Mondariz Foundation painting grant (Pontevedra). Likewise, it is worth mentioning several prizes, such as the Ikasart exhibition prize (Barcelona), Accesit painting prize (Pego) or the extraordinary prize, Baron de Cortes, Battle of Flores (Valencia). In addition to all this, in 2023 she became the first woman to design a municipal falla in Valencia, having been chosen to design the Falla de la Plaza del Ayuntamiento. It is also important to mention some of her latest solo exhibitions, which include Open Doors Sala HERMES (Halle, Germany), her work at the Miquel Alzueta gallery (Barcelona), La Llotgeta (CAM), Bienal de pintura de Buñol (Valencia) and her current exhibition at the Ambit foundation (Valencia).
