Art Madrid'26 – Reload – Amo a Lucio (2025)

about Reload
Barcelona, 1972
Reload is a visual artist and performer whose trajectory challenges linear chronologies, proposing an aesthetic in which past and future meet with poetic and visual intensity. His process is a statement of principles: in a world of immediacy and planned obsolescence, Reload embraces the eternity of hand-carved marble. His retrofuturist language merges the traditional sculptural canon with contemporary codes drawn from cinema, literature, comics, rock, and popular culture at large. Working stone through ancient techniques, and with intelligence and a dose of subversive irony, he reinterprets classical iconographies to introduce them into the flow of the present. The strength of his imagery lies in the hybridization of the eternal and the ephemeral, the refined and the popular, the canonical and the countercultural. Each work acts as a catalyst for multiple meanings, where beauty coexists with provocation, revitalizing artistic imagination from a fresh and vibrant perspective. His work has been exhibited in museums, foundations, and international art fairs across Europe, Asia, and Russia, and forms part of significant institutional and private collections.
