about Thomas Röthel

Ansbach (Alemania), 1969

The sculptor Thomas Röthel studied from 1992 to 1998 at the Art Academy in Nürmberg in Prof. Johannes P. Hölzinger's class. Röthel's transforms the material into delicate, seemingly fragile plastics. His steel sculptures vary according to the perspective they are observed from, therefore they are constantly subtly influenced by different lights and spatial perception. His work has been presented in several exhibitions such as Galerie Fritz-Winter-Atelier (DE); VI Schweizerische Triennale der Skulptur in Bad Ragartz (CH); Galerie Fritz Winter Atelier, München (DE); 2017 Städtische Galerie Schloss, Isny (DE); BEGE Galerie Ulm Skulpturenmeile Stadt Ansbach (DE); Galerie Fritz Winter Atelier, München (DE); among others.
