about Juan Carlos Nadal

Juan Carlos Nadal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). Born in Alicante, he has lived and worked in Valencia since beginning his studies. Throughout his career, he has exhibited in various public institutions and art galleries, including Canem in Castellón (1993), Edgar Neville in Alfafar (1994), Valle Ortí in Valencia (2003 and 2004), Maliarka in Alicante (2005), PazYcomedias in Valencia (2009), 3Punts in Barcelona (2014), Salmaia in Altea (2016), Karin Wimmer in Munich (2017), and Aural in Alicante (2013 and 2018).

Regarding solo exhibitions in public institutions, he has presented his work at La Llotgeta, CAM in Valencia (1993), Espai d’Art Lambert in Jávea (1997), MUA in Alicante (2002), Valencia City Hall (2012), Las Cigarreras in Alicante (2015), and E CA in Riba-Roja (2021). This year, he participated with the sculpture Posidonia in the group exhibition Deconstructing Abstraction. Valencian Painting (1970–2024) at the Centro del Carmen in Valencia. His most recent solo exhibition was held at Fundación Bancaja in Valencia.

He is currently taking part in the exhibition Rebrot with the sculpture Haboob, a project showcasing artworks from the IVAM that were damaged by the Dana storm and are now being displayed at the University of Valencia. In addition, he has created public works such as Ona, installed in the tunnel of the stairway at IES Jorge Juan in Alicante (2015). His work is represented in public and private collections, including IVAM in Valencia, MUA, Juan Gil-Albert and Alicante City Hall, the collection of the Generalitat Valenciana, as well as several private collections.
